Now that I live in the south, I'm hearing southern sayings more and more and what a fun way to share them with your toddlers but in a book. Some of the sayings, like "buggy", are definitions of a tangible thing. Other sayings, such as "madder than a wet hen" are traditional southern sayings.
This book is illustrated by Jennica Lounsbury with variety of skin tones, ages, and family types that make this an inclusive book for all children to relate to.
