God's Word does many things for us if we study it, believe, it, and apply it to our lives.
Hosea 4:6 says, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..." and Overcoming Every Problem by Joyce Meyer helps readers answer the questions from scripture. This book includes 40 promises to help strengthen and encourage you through some of life's greatest challenges.
One of the things that I've been taught over the years from the pulpit and in my theology classes is that God is not the god of confusion. His Word brings peace. This is only one of the 40 chapters in this book. For example, chapter one is that God's Word teaches truth. The author uses scripture in both the Old and New Testaments to show where God's Word is truth. Each chapter is about 4 or 5 pages long which makes this a great book for a daily or weekly devotional. You could read a chapter a day and spend some time meditating on it or you could study through a chapter a week by really diving into the verses that are shared for each topic. Either way, this book is a good way to get further information on some of the promises that God has for His children.
This book is a good one for believers and non-believers, who are questioning the Bible. It's easy to understand and not full of church-y jargon. I find Joyce Meyer to be easy to read and scripturally sound. I think that it would be helpful to read this book with your Bible there to get multiple translations for a clearer understanding, however, saying that, there are multiple translations used in this book, with the New International Version (NIV) being used the most.
