Sound of Freedom Movie Review

Sound of Freedom Movie Review

"When God tells you what to do,
you can not hesitate."

It all began with a simple offer of fame for a single father in the Honduras, and that's the last time a father sees both of his children; a pretty daughter, with the gift of song, and her younger brother.

I'm not going to lie, this movie is extremely difficult to watch knowing that these scenarios of child trafficking for the sex trade are playing out many times a day every single day.

22 MILLION pornographic pictures are posted online every year.  That's a figure that should blow your ever-living mind.  Add to that, child trafficking is a $150 BILLION a year trade with the USA being the TOP destination, and you just might burst into flames.

I became aware of Tim Ballard, the founder of Operation Underground Railroad, a few years ago after seeing his work with the organization he founded.  He was working as a Special Agent for the Department of Homeland Security, where he was deployed as an undercover operative for the U.S. Child Sex Tourism Jump Team, where Sound of Freedom begins. After rescuing a young boy from ruthless child traffickers, he learns the boy’s sister is still captive and decides to embark on a dangerous mission to save her. With time running out, Tim (played by Jim Caviezel) quits his job with the blessing of his wife (played by Mira Sorvino) and journeys deep into the Colombian jungle, putting his life on the line to free her from a fate worse than death.

Sound of Freedom is years in the making by Angel Studios and they want everyone to see it.  Their goal is for two million people to join together in theaters the week of July 4th to remember the two million children who are trafficked every year. Go, watch Sound of Freedom.  This story, ends as it began, with the precious Rosio sweetly singing on her bed, safe in her home.  But so many other children haven't come home yet.  Together we can propel a movement that will save millions of kids around the world by raising awareness of the evils of child trafficking.
