The Final Target Book Review

The Final Target is the latest stand-alone release from my favorite author, Nora Roberts, a #1 New York Times bestselling author of more than 250 novels.  This book is about Arden Bowie and opens as she is makes her first appearance as a newly published author in the bookstore where she works.  At the end of her reading, during the book signing, she meets Dustin, the final person in line.  He introduces himself and gets Arden to sign a book for him while asking for some advice as he claims to be a budding author himself.  She thinks nothing of the encounter and finishes the evening out with family.

In the coming days after her book signing, still riding the high of ringing up her own book at the store, she has another encounter with Dustin.  After she politely turns down an offer to be his critique partner, he begins stalking her and her nightmare begins.

When she moves away to begin again closer to family, away from the violent last meeting with Dustin, she begins to heal, but she's always got a countdown in her mind, the one where Dustin's five years in a bougie psychiatric facility will be over.

It's a Nora Roberts's novel, y'all, so you know that there's going to be a great man, some steamy sex, and an edge-of-your-seat ending, but that's best discovered by the reader in due time.  There were really relatable characters and I had a really hard time putting the book down.

She's my favorite author for a reason and I really enjoyed this book, so I think that you will as well.
