Easter Board Books Review

Where's My Easter Basket? by Bob Holt

Where’s My Easter Basket is a board book by Bob Holt and published by WorthyKids, a division of Hachette Book Group.  In this book, a bird searches for what an Easter basket is by asking a number of characters if they are an Easter basket.

Each character denies that it is one and joins the search.  Surprisingly, each character is one component of the baskets – jellybeans, chocolate rabbit, a chick, an Easter egg, and then, finally, an empty basket that becomes an Easter basket once all the characters jump in.  This is a cute book with lots of action and colors.  It’s a great addition to a toddler’s Easter basket.

The Story of Easter by Patricia A. Pingry

The Story of Easter is a board book by Patricia A. Pingry and published by WorthyKids, a division of Hachette Book Group. In this book, the Easter story is explained and illustrated in such a way that your little ones will understand the death and resurrection of Jesus. The people who are depicted in the book represent multiple races, ages, and family types. The Easter story is depicted in the most basic way, leaving out the fact that Jesus died for the sins of the world for all eternity. The story does connect our going to church and celebrating Easter with the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection. A nice book for your toddler’s Easter basket and a great way to introduce them to the celebration of Easter.
